Hi families! This week, we will explore the classic story The Gingerbread Man through lots of fun, hands-on activities!
We will be strengthening fine motor skills by rolling play-dough, cutting out gingerbread shapes, and decorating our very own gingerbread men.
We will also get creative by building gingerbread houses and designing life-size gingerbread kids using art materials.
During circle time, we will listen to and act out The Gingerbread Man story, answer questions, and even learn some new signs and vocabulary.
For cognitive development, we will explore counting games, matching scents, and dressing our gingerbread characters.
Outdoors, we will stay active with games like the Gingerbread Man Race and “Gingerbread Says.”
We will also enjoy music and movement activities like the Gingerbread Hokey Pokey and Gumdrop Hop!
To wrap up the week, we will even bake gingerbread cookies and explore different smells and flavors together.
