Hello, Happy Bunnies families!
This week, our Toddlers will explore the exciting world of ants and bees as part of our Bugs theme. Throughout the week, children will discover insects through hands-on learning, creative activities, music, movement, and outdoor play.
We will look at insect photos using magnifying glasses, create beautiful bumblebee paintings, and complete an ant puzzle. Our toddlers will crawl along an ant trail, follow scent paths, and practice fine and gross motor skills through bug-inspired activities.
During story time, we will read Backyard Bugs, Ms. Bumblebee Gathers Nectar, and Little Ants. Children will learn simple ASL signs for words such as bee, ant, sting, and anthill while building their language skills.
We will sing songs, recite rhymes, play memory games, and create fingerprint insects. Children will also learn about bee and ant safety, how bees make honey, and enjoy a special toast-and-honey tasting activity.
For physical development, we will fly like bees, perform bee waggle dances, march like ants, and explore movement patterns outdoors. These activities will encourage cooperation, confidence, and a sense of belonging within our classroom community.
We are looking forward to a fun-filled week of bug adventures and learning together! 🐜🐝💛
