Little ones don’t use internal dialogue like we do. While we organize, thinking internally, they do it externally. When children ask you a question, encourage them to answer it before you answer it for them by asking; what do you think? This allows children to organize their thinking as they verbalize their answer. Use the child’s answer as a starting point to form your explanation.
The simplest open ended place thing, blocks dolls. Chalk are best for developing imagination. Give children plenty of art supplies and encourage them to explore. Always focus on the process and don’t worry about the product.

Encourage children to bend the rules by using materials in new and innovative ways. Make music with pots and pans. Paint with shaving cream. Build a Ford out of pillows.
