Hi everyone!
This week, we’re exploring triangles with our toddlers! 🔺
Learning about shapes and sizes at this age is so much more than just naming them. When children learn to recognize shapes like triangles, they’re building important early math skills. They begin to notice patterns, compare objects, and understand how things fit together.
Talking about shapes also strengthens their vocabulary. Words like triangle, side, corner, big, small, and pointy help expand their language and thinking skills at the same time.
Triangles are especially fun because they’re all around us! We can find them in pizza slices, road signs, rooftops, and even in toys. When children spot triangles in their everyday world, they start making real-life connections — and that’s where meaningful learning happens.
You can support this at home by looking for triangles together, drawing them, building them with blocks, or even making triangle art. Keep it playful and simple — learning at this age happens best through hands-on exploration and fun!
We’re excited to keep discovering triangles together this week!
