How are you surviving this crazy Texas weather?
One day is hot, then it’s cold, then it’s freezing, then we have almost 80F for a day, and then we go back to cold winter weather again. Poor babies don’t know if they should put their coats on or off or what to do. The good news is that the weather is helping our children to learn independence. They practice their fine motor skills by pulling the zip up and down, and we celebrate every small victory with them!
This week, our babies are learning about their hands. We will be singing songs that they will use their fingers to act out the lyrics. We continue to practice sign language. We will also compare real hands to those hands-on pictures, introducing the idea that real-life objects can be depicted on 2D paper and that those pictures have a meaning just like words do.
